楼主是做analytical还是empirical？貌似Chicago,Stanford和NYU都几乎只做empirical 现在做analytical的老师好像不是很多当然John很牛了

right, if you want to focus on analytical model, wharton is a much better choice than the other three; but if you are empirical guy, which I was assuming, chicago is good in terms of both structural model and statistical model, wharton is more statistical. Stanford's behavior is much better than its modeling, but it has big name.

Moreover, the tradition of wharton and chicago is different. At Chicago, if you are superstar, every faculty member will advertise for you when you are on the job market, but if you are just an average guy, no one will help you. But at wharton, people will help you no matter you are strong or weak.
