The claims is right in some degree, by saying that creating an appealing image has become increasingly important. While I can not agree with the assertiment that it happens only in contemporary society and I disregard this phenomenon as an unlucky thing, especially in some perticular area.

Without any doubt, creating an appealing image plays a significant role in people's life, especially in women's. Just pay attention to the make-up industry and the incredible running sells would surprise most people. No one can explain throughly why this tiny bottle of liquid could possiblely cost so much, and what kind of magic could make those beautys so crazy believeing it will actually smooth their wrinkles, whiten their skins and bring them back to youth. In my opinion, its the inner desire for creating an appealing image that acctually catch customers attention and dominant their desire, and finally get thesellings done. Image is quite influencial, it is not just a artificial bogus, on the contury, it reflets one's inside world, like values, attitudes and state of mind.By creating an appealing image, people feel more comfident about themselves, which is the basic personality which contributes to a bright career and harmonious social relationship.

Besides that, devoting in creating an appealling image is not a comtemporary fashion, it has been long exsited and can be traced back to Louis XIV, the extremly powerful and great king of France. Louis was so dominant that he took his name from the sun itself, and he sought magnificience in all things. He strived for it in art, in war and in him self. With luxurious dresses, splendid palace, in addition his inborn blonde hair and almost chrubic face, he wasthemost hansome and fashion image among France, which drove all his nobilities came to bent to his will.Therefore, creating an appealing image has not only a very long tradition but also profond influence.

Last but not least, creating an appealing image is so important in areas like commercial advertisement . The basic essence about advertisement, appently, is manufactoring appaeling images, which invovles sentimentle feelings, reasonable evidences or celebrity reputations to persude people that this product is really useful and worth buying. Someone may argue that advertising is lying, exaggerating the prosuct. To me , however, it is not totally lies, it has a reality base, which is the product. For example, my favorite advertisement slogen:" Dimond is forever." It is concise and powerful. The magic of this slogen is that it does not discribe dimonds, not about the shape, color or skill, instead, it delivers a image of romance and eternal love. Attract images would make no sense when it aparts from substance, but when they combined, delicate images would embellish the substance more appealing.

To sum it up, creating an appealing image plays a significant role in our present life and it definitely can not be departed from the substance.
