正确答案选A- 怎么想怎么觉得不对..既然Compact cars有48%被追尾，比middle-sized car数量多，那么不正说明compact cars不安全吗，A说to minimize the chances of a rear-end collision，不是明显和题目矛盾吗？

我可能逻辑有误区..思考了很久都不明白，恳请牛牛赐教！

按我的理解原文就是说compact cars相较于middle-sized cars更容易被追尾，那不就是更加不安全么？A很明显说的是小型车车主减小与别的车尾部相撞的可能性，跟其被别的车主追尾不是无关吗？请指教，谢谢了.....

我觉得是楼主把原文意思理解错了，原文是指小型车被追尾，也就是说别的车型追他尾，不是小型车之间相互追尾

A说小型车的车型使他可以看见别的车型的尾部，所以他不会追别人尾，那别的车型被追尾的几率就减小了
