Obviously it is a topic that you can get different answers from different individuals. A fair proportion of people attend college because they want to go into a profession that requires a university education and, what’s more, a degree. Others, nevertheless, have their personal reasons. Among the countless factors, I will only present the most consequential and conspicuous reasons here. The first plain truth, I am presenting here, is that people go to college to get education. As we know, nothing is more important than knowledge and on no account can we ignore the importance of learning them. A man without education, most of us believe, is an unfortunate victim of adversary environment, deprived of wide assortment of opportunities. People always treat university curriculums as their preparations of a career. Accordingly, a student who is interested in medicine decide to go to university, into a pre-med program to prepare to become a doctor. A second factor is that for some people, to take a further education in universities is the only way to change their life. As the motto says: “Knowledge is power”. In our country, there are quite a few families suffered from poverty and lag, people from such families know that the only way to get rid of those pathetic lives is to take education through a college, and undoubtedly exerted to achieve their goals. Last but not least, some people attend university to get different life experience. As we know. the life in campus is a miniature of our society. People can always learn something new, which they can not read from books. They may make new friends, taste new life styles, and after all, they realize their responsibilities to the society, and find out what a person they actually want to be. In conclusion, people attend college or university for various reasons. But whatever the purpose is, they can always benefit form a campus life. |
