worried about the time gap

It is too late for me to apply MBA or PHD in good Unversity. But I am really afraid that if I apply in the next year, there will be a 1.5 year time gap without any job. Is that a serious disadvantage for my application in the future?

To avoid this point, I want to apply for the master program of Real Estate and Land Ecnomics in Texas A&M University. That is not a good business school. And I don't think that is a good major in this school. But that is the only one which still not pass the deadline yet And my husband is in this University in Civil Engineering. My plan is: study here for 1 year, get some credits, then transfer to some good business school ..... Is that feasible??

I have a very good GMAT score and a not bad background. Just my laziness cause so many problems. Laziness is really a bad habit
