     （1）and是平行并列的要求，and前面的结构是anthracite coalfields opened in eastern Pennsylvania，and后面的结构也应该与之对应吧？我选了D，答案是E，我不知道E中的as是什么成分，为什么放在and后面还算对。

     （2）anthracite coalfields opened 中的opened修饰煤矿，是被动的关系，那么BC中的错误是不是railroads reaching 用了主动？

     （3）A中的错误在哪里？除了XDF的规律-there be不能加抽象n（我不太赞同）D错在哪里？除了being结构

LZ还是应该发到SC版去,我发表下我的愚见吧

1.and的确是平行的标志,这里连接的是句子.E的确是平行的,as引导状语从句,主语是substantial supplies of coal.D 中是canals and eventually railroads
                在作主语，在原句中他就是一个状语成分，因此D改变了原句意思

2.那个opened是过去时，不是被动

3.there be表示自然存在的状态，这里用supplies不合理。D中的being多余，还有错误就是上面我说到的

万分感谢jy03161061的解答！！！但是我还是有一点不太认同，不妨大家讨论讨论，你认为E中的and连接句子，但是我认为前面的部分根本不是句子，因为opened不能成为谓语动词，理由是如果是动词的话，它和主语煤矿应该是被动的逻辑关系，所以要加上be动词构成被动语态，否则就是煤矿自己把自己给open了。这里opened的存在愚以为只可能是定语后置。请指教

再看了看选项,除了D之外,后面都有完整的主谓结构.....前面什么成分都不是

估计是GWD  SB了
