GWD1-Q39:

Which of the following most logically completes the passage below?
Heavy rains during Centralia’s corn planting season prevented some farmers there from planting corn. It is now the planting season for soybeans, another of Centralia’s principal crops, and those fields originally intended for corn are dry enough for planting. Nonetheless, even though soybean prices are unusually high at present, the farmers will leave most of these fields empty rather than plant them with soybeans, since ??????.

答案是C。。。我选的B。。。

C说由于前面想种玉米，结果耽误了，但是种玉米撒的一些东西会对大豆生长有负面影响。
这个题是建立中玉米和中大豆的联系，所以B可以认为是无关的。
而且B说some farmer,也不具有代表性。另外题目说大豆价格会unusual high, 所以financial loss和题目是抵触的。凡是和题目条件是抵触的，都是错误的。

anticipate , some 这些词语太过主观，不能反映GMAT考试的客观性... 遇到类似的词语都应该注意。

在原题中可以看到 those fields originally intended for corn are dry enough for planting，说明是已经为中玉米准备好的一片田地，又因为Nonetheless, even though soybean prices are unusually high at present这一句话，可以知道，soybean的价钱是不变甚至升高，而利润=价钱*产量- 成本 , 所以影响因素就是产量变了，所以C能很直接的反应出those fields originally intended for corn are dry enough for planting 导致了 stunt的soybean 使得产量下降，利润很低划不来

serious financial losses 和 not plant soybeans之间有gap 它并没有说是plant soybeans会造成很大的损失
文中已经说了soybean prices are unusually high at present 所以按照常理plant soybeans应该profitable才对
除非C chemicals that were used to prepare the fields for corn planting would stunt the growth of soybeans→planting soybeans may have serious financial losses→so leave most field empty
另外some farmers确实也不具有代表性...

D怎么错了，农民不愿意种就是一种原因啊~对于填空题，最好应该用文中的内容回答，而chemical是新引进来的，所以我觉得没有D好~~~

这句话的意思是，在过去，尽管是在wet planting season，只要他们愿意，他们就会种 corn。题目讲的是现在，这个提到过去，与原文无关。

C项是new evidence，解释了原因。是有关的。

相关性不只是看某个元素是否在文中出现过的。

D 有能力这个错误选项看见很多，有能力做和做不做是两回事，选项只说了有能力，没有很清楚的告诉我们，农民一定会种玉米，退一万步，真的种了，那么文中已经说了，即便大豆的价格上涨。就是明知道大豆价格上涨，他仍然种玉米，他是雷锋呢？还是雷锋呢？还是雷锋呢？

虽然自己也很差，但是还想说逻辑大家一定要仔细看懂题目，看不懂就一遍遍来，同时看og的解释，尤其错误的，为啥错，反正就是把自己的和og的观点弄成一致的。简单的重复真的很好，向保证，我不是托，但是真的希望大家静下心看看这篇文章（就是逻辑区的），然后静下心看og,不要在意我做了几遍，在意的是质量。我今天反正静不下来了。。。
