Hi there, and thanks for your question! I’d be happy to provide some advice here. First of all, I’d suggest you re-take the GMAT, since your current score is definitely less than competitive. If you can get a score of 700 or above, it would be incredibly helpful for your application. Secondly, your work experience is actually a plus, even though you might feel you didn’t do anything major while you were there. Youneed to dig deeper and think of your best work stories, ones that demonstrate your core competencies and skills, and you should write about these in your essays.
In terms of location, I’d suggest you look at programs in optimal locations like NYC, LA, and Chicago. Big cities will provide more internship and full-time job opportunities for accounting majors.
