跪求大神给指导，求定位

基本信息

本科 2011毕业，工科国内985 211， GPA 89/100 专业：通信工程
硕士 2012-2013，工科，新加坡 NTU，GPA 4.5/5 专业：电子工程

2011-2012 ，曾经有机会全奖在欧洲读博士，因为受不了有时差的异地恋，攻读一年之后放弃来新加坡就读硕士之后就业。（当时老公在新加坡读博士）
工作经验两年在新加坡，在行业排名靠前的美国公司，做电路设计。

NO GMAT，目前正在准备中。

有意向申请美国的MBA学校，主要想在纽约。。

因老公的工作可以relocate到纽约，同时一直有转行的念头，想趁这次机会逼自己一下。以后方向还是考虑还是偏工科一些。

不知道希望大不大。ＣＤ里面的牛人一大堆。不知道有没有什么希望。

纯technical工作吗？你想去纽约什么学校呢？也不知道你的long term goal是什么。做工科的话，感觉纽约的学校（CBS或NYU）都不合适。

先感谢回答，有意向去做ＢＡ之类的东西，以后想做数据分析方面的东西。

BA是指Business analysis？做数据分析为什么想到要读MBA？

想转行做一些咨询或者quant 之类的方向（还是想依靠自己的数理强项），其实担心本身没什么金融背景。MBA是个人觉得比较快速转行，提升自己的方式。也会考虑BA方面的master。

是的，看到一些学校的master要求GRE（目前没有），GMAT可能会快一点，所以才会考虑MBA。

1. If quant 之类（还是想凭借自己的数理强项）, forget about MBA. It is useless (not only high cost) for technical position (you are not a tech ppl seeking to go up to management level), and indeed it can be even a negative point to have a MBA for those position (personality and mindset reason)
2. Business Analysitcs is indeed quite a new major, I am indeed a bit doubt if how many business analytics master are well set up (in both faculty, content and network).
3. If financial engineering, no finance background is a problem but not a big one (as math & programming are the most important). The key point is indeed.....with your previous working experience, the opp. cost of switching is quite high (but this apply to other field also)
4. MBA to switch field: indeed MBA open you a door only........and your previous experience counts even more (especially if you have visa concern, switching to a unrelated field is quite difficult)

Hello there,
Thanks for writing.
So reading through your post my first question is: what do you want to do? If you want to move towards engineering that it seems to me that a Masters in some sort of technical engineering (Software, electronic, whatever) might be right for you. Is this what you are looking for?
