【推荐信】请大家帮我简单分析一下这封邮件的措辞

Hi XXX,
I am willing to write you a recommendation but, unfortunately, I cannot write a real strong letter since I will not be able to comment on much more than the fact that you were a student in my class and how well you did in class. Only when I have worked with a student closely or got to know them from some way can I write a strong letter.
Let me know.

大家阅读完邮件内容后，感觉我还有必要让这位美国教授（系主任）写推荐信吗？

上过他两门课，课前有简单的交流，一共15人的课上会回答他的问题。他是商院副院长（金融系主任），知道我GPA很高（商院前10%），给我颁过两个荣誉。算了解么？他是我心中第三合适的教授，其他的教授交流还不及他。。。

一共找了4位教授，一位到现在还没回复我，如果他的也不要，那手头只有2封RL了。。。

好担心从下一个老师那得到同样的回复。或者即使回复不一样，写的RL也不strong怎么办？
