usually only very top schools provide such loan needing no co-signer because MBA students at these schools are supposed to be able to make tons of money to pay their debt. and these guys wouldn't risk their credit history on their tuition loans because these guys are planning to go upward and upward with a background as clean as possible.
tuck at dartmouth seems to be one of these schools, hbs, wharton, and stanford students shouldn't have problems.
Fuqua also offers up to 100K dollars to international students without co-signer. You can choose to repay the money in upto 25 years after graduation. But the interest is a little bit high 6%-8% per year.
I knew many students borrow money from citibank without co-signer in Ross school of business at the University of Michigan, at least up to 110k. Currently the interest rate is 4%, but may fluctuate with the economy. Some 2nd year students even borrow money one month before graduation.
TKS. I also learned that DUKE is generous to offer tuition waiver to Chinese applicants during the past two years, compared with other TOP20 business schools. Any CDers enjoyed the benefit before?
For those intending to come back China after graduation, $ 100k loan is really a large amount to repay.
