小弟在13版 OG上看到下面两道题，被难住了，OG的答案看不懂。
还请高手提点提点。分别用到了什么知识点？如何解？
OG 13TH-5.3 PS/84th
Leona bought a 1-year, $10,000 certificate of deposit that paid interest at an annual rate of 8 percent compounded semiannually. what was the total amount of interest paid on this certificate at maturity?
answer：$816

OG 13TH-5.3 PS/100th
On a scale that measures the intensity of a certain phenomenon, a reading of n+1 corresponds to an intensity that is 10 times the intensity corresponding to a reading of n. On that scale, the intensity corresponding to a reading of 8 is how many times as great as the intensity corresponding to a reading of 3?（这题就没读懂！真是上火！）
Answer:10的5次方

第二题题没读懂，是因为你题打错了，不但你看不懂，别人也看不懂。。。我拿出书来对了一遍才发现，你自己回头再检查一下吧。
第一题，计算利息的。compounded指出是复利计算，semiannually是半年计一次利息的意思。一年的利率是8%，那半年就是4%，所以利息就是$10,000*4%*4%=$816, OG上有这种例题，你看一看。

貌似是10000＊（1＋4％）^2－10000＝816

显示的n+1是相当于显示n的10倍,那么显示8就是显示3的10^5,因为他们之间相差5个级~~ 如果这样想不清楚就一级一级的想把显示8是显示7的10倍,显示7是显示6的10倍,那显示8就是显示6的10^2,依次推下去就是答案了哈~!!!^ ^
