When it comes to the attitudes towards whether high schools should require all students to wear school uniforms, most students will say that they would rather have their own choice. As far as I am concerned, however, I believe high-school students should be required to wear school uniforms. The reasons are presented below.

To begin with, wearing uniform is a symbol of discipline. Students know that they are not allowed to come to school unless they put on their uniforms. If there is no such a rule, some students will try to disrespect their teachers by wearing shorts and slippers in the class. (it is not a intension) some students may wear shorts and slippers in the class, disrespecting their teachers  By requiring students to wear uniforms, it will avoid students wearing inappropriate clothing.  

Moreover,  wearing uniform is an effective way of saving time and money. Many students, especially girls, are very sensitive to their own clothing. They usually spent a great deal of their time on selecting and purchasing their clothing. By wearing uniforms in weekdays, students do not need to buy too much clothing.The time saved can be spent on other meaningful activities, such as reading, writing. and so on. At the same time,  school uniforms are usually very cheap, even if  the content  is not so good. The money saved by wearing uniforms can be spent on purchasing books, going to sight-seeing, etc.

The third advantage is that wearing uniform will promote the spirit of teamwork. Students, by wearing school uniforms, will find that they themselves have something in common.They will feel easier to communicate with each other. If there is no such a rule as to require high school students to wear uniform, many students who cannot afford fashion clothing will find it difficult to communicate with those who live a wealthy life. It will block the communication broaden the gap between students.(not sure the structure such --as to)

Just as the proverb goes" every coin has two sides", wearing uniforms has its disadvantages, such as jeapadising the individulity of students. From the discussion above, however, I think high school students should be require to wear uniforms. Wearing uniform will not only promote discipline and teamwork, but also save time and money.
