General Summary
The Human Resources Manager supports an individual office or group of offices or business unit and is typically responsible for the management and administration of the compensation and benefit, expat issues, staffing and recruitment, employee relations, performance management, learning & development and other Human Resources functions for that group. The HR Manager is an integral member of their local management team.
Essential Functions
A. HR BP
- Acts as HR BP for specific business units. Develops and implements goals and objectives which support the business goals.
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of HR services.
- Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt staff, college recruitment, and
temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations and exit interviewing. - Manages complex and challenging employee relations. Counsels and advises business managers to achieve positive resolutions. Escalates to next level when necessary.
- Ensures compliance with company policy and all legal/government parameters. Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Takes leading role in the completion of the Performance Assessment and goal setting process. May assists with the annual talent review and strategic succession planning process.
- Facilitate business managers to implement the compensation review and communications.
- Supports the Learning and Development initiatives. Identifies candidates and makes
recommendations for specific training and development programs. - Works with business leaders to facilitate the annual budget process.
B. C&B Function Consultant
- Implements and annually updates compensation program; develops merit pool (salary budget); analyzes compensation and salary grades.
- Develops solutions for annual bonus pool allocation, Calculate the bonus under Sales Incentive Program
- Coordinates with Global Mobility team and business about solutions for overseas assignment; maintains Expat monthly C&B reporting.
- Establishes and maintains C&B records and reports. Completes reports on a number of C&B topics (merit, bonus pool, C&B survey, analysis, sales incentives…). Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of company in relation to goals and objectives.
- Works with local management to facilitate the annual budget process.
Scope
Responsible for office usually up to 150 employees.
Miscellaneous
- Minimum 3 years HR experience.
- Bachelor’s degree and experience in consulting firm with C&B background is required.
- Considerable judgment and independent thought required.
- Considerable latitude for un-reviewed action and decision.
