In order to apply a Top MBA Program, what kind of WE (Work Experience) are more valuble?

I am having a Enginnering Background, and currently there are opportunities to change my role to be a manager in the engineer department or to change to be a Business Analyst in Sales&Marketing Department.

I am bit wondering which choice would provide me more valuable WE for admission to Top MBA programs? From the first choice, i will gain leadership experience. From 2nd choice, i will gain WE diversity from both Engineering and Business.

Could someone familiar with the nature of MBA give me some guidance?

Ask yourself what your interest is in the future? Buesiness backgroud is not necessary for MBA application. Actually, the leadership experience is better, while the choice still depends on your own interest.

I suggest u to choose the manager role, since when u become a leader, u begin to contact management, then it's called business.

For analyst job, it could just provide u with diverse background about market, nothing else
