Studies in restaurants show that the tips left by customers who pay their bill in cash tend to be larger when the bill is presented on a tray that bears a creditcard logo. Consumer psychologists hypothesize that simply seeing a credit-card logo makes many creditcard holders willing to spend more because it reminds them that their spending power exceeds the cash they have immediately available.

Which of the following, if true, most strongly supports the psychologists' interpretation of the studies?

94.    Studies in restaurants show that the tips left by customers who pay their bill in cash tend to be larger when the bill is presented on a tray that bears a credit-card logo. Consumer psychologists hypothesize that simply seeing a credit-card logo makes many credit-card holders willing to spend more because it reminds them that their spending power exceeds the cash they have immediately available.
Which of the following, if true, most strongly supports the psychologists’ interpretation of the studies?
(A)     The effect noted in the studies is not limited to patrons who have credit cards.
(B)     Patrons who are under financial pressure from their credit-card obligations tend to tip less when presented with a restaurant bill on a tray with a credit-card logo than when the tray has no logo.
(C)     In virtually all of the cases in the studies, the patrons who paid bills in cash did not possess credit cards.
(D)     In general, restaurant patrons who pay their bills in cash leave larger tips than do those who pay by credit card.
(E)     The percentage of restaurant bills paid with a given brand of credit card increases when that credit card’s logo is displayed on the tray with which the bill is presented.

研究表明:the tips left by customers who pay their bill in cash tend to be larger when the bill is presented on a tray that bears a credit-card logo.

专家结论:simply seeing a credit-card logo makes many credit-card holders willing to spend more because it reminds them that their spending power exceeds the cash they have immediately available.
                 【仅仅是看到信用卡logo就会让很多信用卡持有者原意付更多,因为logo提醒他们他们的支付能力比他们手上可支付的现金要多】
                  1、专家结论也没有说这是光针对财务状况好的人;
                  2、注意remind后提醒的是“他们的支付能力超过他们的现金(支付能力)”,注意人专家的结论不是说信用卡Logo仅中立地提醒顾客的他们的信用状况

                 看到这,我当时想的结论就是信用卡Logo提醒顾客他们有比实际大的支付能力,所以多付

Patrons who are under financial pressure from their credit-card obligations tend to tip less when presented with a restaurant bill on a tray with a credit-card logo than when the tray has no logo.

For this question, the argument hinges on the hypothesis that a credit logo reminds the credit card holder of their spending power.

Only B supports this hypothesis.

credit-card logo makes many credit-card holders willing to spend more because it reminds them that their spending power exceeds the cash they have immediately available.
