Is it easier to be a success in the past then it is today?

It is not uncommon today that individuals struggle to become elites, such as to be distinguished athletes, first-rate actors and celebrated scholars, regardless of you gender or age. The competition in this entire international community increases day by day. In order to be a success, human beings chase higher educational degrees, more elegant and beautiful faces and spend more time on working. Clearly, modern people encounter serious situation on the way to be a giant or immortal one. But, that doesn`t mean it is easier to be a success in the past than it is today.

Apparently, people dreaming to be successful face more competition. A suitable example can explain what I mean is that, everyone get a chance to get a further education while in the past knowledge is only accessible to the rich. However, thinking in a different way, it also means to the ones in the lower class in the society that has less chance to be a success in the past, they are given an opportunity to accomplish their dream. So, implicitly, it is easier for them to be successful in modern times.

Aside from widely chance of earning education, the discrimination between men and women, the while and the African Americans, the healthy and the disable are fading away. Our entire world is in the process eliminate the race discrimination and so on. More and more people are entitled freedom to do what they want to do. A woman in the old time may be controlled in her own home and does housework every minute. However, nowadays, she can get a more facilitated and exciting job than just be a slave of her entire family. Hence, more and more people can choose to do what he likes and go after their dream, which certainly benefit them more opportunities to become successes.

I admit that more chance to getting education and less discrimination do make some people face fierce competition that they shouldn`t encounter in the past. For example, there will be more new-born superintendents running their companies have a battle with the old companies directing by the rich who have a priority to get the market share in the past.

All in all, more and more people get a chance to have a further education and to be empowered with more freedom due to the progress of the society. Certainly, it makes it easier to be successful.
