答案选的是c 我想选d 但想一下觉得d应该算是无关选项可我实在想不通为什么选c 要weaken的话不是应该证明征募和dropout没有关系吗？可c的意思不是它们有很大关系了么？？求指正~~

理由：18-year olds in the republic are generally either high school graduates or high school dropouts

这个结论只有在：high school graduates does not account for the rise in the percentage of all 18-year-olds who were recruited by the armed services时才成立。

啊这个貌似突然间理解鸟是recruitment来的要么是dropout要么是graduates是么？？我好无语啊···太粗心了我···竟然木有注意到那个c中的graduates·····谢谢你~

To weaken the conclusion,we should argue that the republic's recruitment rates for 18-year-olds does NOT depend substantially on recruitment rates for high school dropouts.That is:the recuitment rates for 18-year-olds depend substantially on other rates such as for high school graduates.

correlation vs. causation.

There are two sources of 18-year-olds for arm recruits. The argument says the source is the dropouts. The weakening statement says otherwise.
