关于Columbia Financial Econ

本人有两个疑点:

1, 到底是不是为了PhD preparation设立的?
--有人跟Jiang教授联系过,据说得到了确认."是为了place学生到top 15 finance PhD program". -
--看他家的课程也都是PhD课程.
--required的summer intern可以用RA来代替.
--但是他家的网页介绍上说的是:
"a two-year master’s degree program that trains analytical- and industry-focused ..."
"The program aims to train students for analytical jobs with potential employers ..."

以上各方证据好像看似矛盾阿~~

2, 这个项目会不会得到的faculty attention比较少.
--"Master of Science students are initially advised by an administrator in the PhD office who will be responsible for the administrative oversight of the program. "
这个administrator应该不是faculty吧? 而且本人根哥大的联系基本都是吃闭门羹.
感觉Columbia不太重视这个硕士班阿...

我感觉好像挺学术的一个项目。目前看不到任何statistics. 估计连哥大的教授们自己也不知道这个项目的方向最终会是什么样子。。。。
