Baruch MFE vs. CMU MSCF

两个项目都被录取了而且我两个都很喜欢，所以很难选择。三个考虑的重点：

1。我计划毕业后在纽约工作2-3年然后再靠工作经验去别的城市或者国家。如果是Baruch, 在纽约城里找工作应该问题不大。如果是CMU, 我不确定亚洲学生能找到好的NYC的有多少？虽然面试的时候问过Rick这个问题，他说他们很有经验帮亚洲学生找美国工作，我在CD上看到好像都是CMU毕业后回去亚洲。。。希望有内部人士可以帮我解答这个疑问！

2。除了地点，工作性质和发展空间也很重要。我希望可以做Structured Products。两个项目网站上公布的毕业生的job titles看起来好像CMU更有可能帮助我进入这个领域。。。true?

3。听Baruch的在读学生说有不少人最后一个学期会工作part-time来获得更多经验还有potential full time job offers。这个听起来很诱人。如果选CMU，我会想去Pittsburgh校区，那么就基本上没有可能做part-time了，这样的“损失”大吗？

you can do part time job by transferring your enrollment to CMU NY campus on last semester.
cmu placement in new york is still better than baruch all the ways.

Thanks for your reply! Are you sure about transferring to CMU NY in the last semester? I suppose I should email CMU on this one... cuz if they allow that, it would be perfect for me!

Also, does anyone know what the course schedule is like at CMU? I know Baruch has all their courses from 6 to 10pm on weeknights which makes it possible for students to find a part-time job, but I can't seem to find any information for CMU...

i hope you make up your minds correctly, go ask your seniors in both programs rather than believing in a poll result!

i know people did that.

however, cmu schedule makes you not able to work part time, unless you learn by yourself with recorded lecture videos or involve in quantitative research or some other similar flexible roles.

有没有CMU的师兄师姐出来说说，中国学生在NYC的就业形势怎么样呢。感觉baruch这方面挺强的。不知道对不对？

Yes I will for sure. Wish I could pay a visit to both programs in person but I can't... thus posting here hoping to get some insightful opinions.

I am actually rather "disappointed" that people are all voting for CMU NY... I guess I should try to contact students and faculties from the two programs, and hopefully their answers can help me decide which program is a better fit for me...

我觉得按照目前的信息来看,想要留美工作还是要去baruch吧？记得cmu mscf有一个介绍帖子，虽然它是顶尖的项目，但是就业似乎没有想像的那么美，好像至少有一半的中国人还是要回来的。不过lz想要回来那就应该是cmu了吧？
不管怎样，lz还是要综合自己的情况去考虑啊。cong了，蹭喜气。
