seems I'm the 1st here to be offered by NUS for 2011 intake. something back for CDers:
timeline:
submitted: one week after the online application was open (early Oct)
Interviewed: Dec 18 @ SH
Offered: Jan 18 (pretty damn long wait hah!)
background:
Education: BA (Hons) 2:1 , in business.
w/e: one year operations @ foreign bank, 1.5 years business consulting till present
all physical experience in China
T: waived as my 1st degree was conducted in English
G: 740/5.0
Other info:
applied HKU (interviewed on Dec 17, rejected within two weeks, guess no chemistry during interview...but the interview was an excellent rehearsal for the ones following in the 24 hours....), NUS (offered), NTU (interviewed on Dec 17, still waiting...).
NTU said they process by batch and will only make offers starting late Feb.
I'll establish a QQ/MSN group when more offers pop up in CD. Or someone else has done so?

HKU: face 2 face. two-person panel (Mr. Ng and the Indian guy). typical and boring questions like why HKU, why MBA.
NTU: on Skype. one interviewer (Mr. N. Soriano). toughest one. No why-questions, just did a couple of case studies like making up a marketing strategy for an Indian small-type low-price vehicle brand that is entering China.
NUS: face 2 face, two interviewers (Mr. Lim YW and Mr. C. Yan) No why-questions, no case studies. but the questions were creative and interesting. eg think up a brand that represents yourself, and who's your idol (not necessary famous people). |
