Tocqueville, a nineteeth-century writer known for his study of democracy in the United States, believed that a government that centralizes power in one individual or institution is dangerous to its citizens. Biograhpers claim that Tocqueville disliked-centralized government because he blamed Npaoleon's rule for the poverty of his childhood in Normandy.
which of following is,if true, would cast the most serious doubt on the biograhers' claim?
这题答案是：Tocqueville said he knew that if his father had not suffered ill health, his family would have had a steady income and a comfortable standard of living.

这种问什么doubt on 的题目怎么做啊？我怎么看想都想不出这个答案和这个题目有什么联系。望高人指点，谢谢啦

原文claim说了个原因：
因为： Npaoleon's rule for the poverty of his childhood in Mormandy(拿破仑法则造成了T童年的贫寒)
所以：T不喜欢centralized government
doubt on=weaken
要消弱这个claim
答案说：
T 说（这是个虚拟语气），他老爸若当年没生病，他们就会有steady income, a comfortable standard living(也就是不会贫寒)
因此：
T 童年的贫寒另有他因，和拿破仑没关系，自然不是T不喜欢centralized government的原因
这样就消弱了
