Data for a certain biology experiment are given in the table above. If the amount of bacteria present increased by the same factor during each of the two 3-hour period shown, how many grams of bacteria were present at 4:00 P.M.

(A) 12.0
(B) 12.1
(C) 12.2
(D) 12.3
(E) 12.4

答案是A. OG里的解法是用函数做的. 为什么不是简单的（10+14.4）/2=12.2选C 呢？

by same factor,相同系数的意思吧, 你假设这个系数是a
10*(1+a)=x
x*(1+a)=14.4

x^2=144

x=12

谢谢楼上啊..看你的解释比看OG的简单多了..
不过遇到这种题我的思维就会是很简单的两者相加除以2..原因是在“the same factor”上吗?

我第一反应也是线性的比例,这种题只有做过一次才会注意
