一个什么的自行车制造商，其实是反映了一些需求他们将要去满足的。唯一的骑自行车的人感兴趣于创新且愿意去买的是自行车比赛的选手。因此，创新的自行车科技受限于权限将接受的标准，这个是标准是关于自行车竞技比赛的。

结论即为：因为自行车比赛的标准时权威制定的，因此自行车创新可以受限于权威是否接受新的标准。
