In normal years, research university should have 1-2 openings, sometimes 3 or maybe 4 if some professors are retiring this year, although for big departments (e.g., Chicago, UIUC) sometimes the number could be huge. Also for good schools, sometimes they do not recruit people not because they do not have openings but because they think this year market candidates are not good enough. Chicago recruited 8 accounting faculties in year 2008, but no in 2009, although they do have openings in both years. Now some schools are still in a hiring freeze so market this year not that good.
For teaching school, yes, 100K is the minimum. Hasn't heard anything smaller than that.
Bernanke, 那大概一年research univ会有多少个会计的opening?据说去teaching school也能有十万出头,真的吗? -- by 会员 dandanapple (2010/3/5 23:49:17)
