我的理解是这样的。

大学的募捐

ST大学80%的potential donors都给大学捐款了，但是这种高成功率不能说明funder raiser 的工作出色，相反，过去捐过款的人更加可能给大学捐款，所以好的fund raiser应该一直去尝试新的捐款人，使捐款人的基数比较大。这种高成功率显示出募捐工作不够充分。

那个选项支持上面的结论:
A. ST大学funder raiser跟那些从未捐过款的人联系的频率跟其他大学跟
他们的未捐款人联系的频率一样高。

C. 今年大部分来自potention donor的捐款都是在没有Funder raiser跟他们联系的情况下捐的。

我觉得A根本就无关啊，C充分说明了这些funder raiser的工作根本就不好，因为大部分老捐款人是自己捐的跟他们的工作没关系。

可是答案是A，还有很多人都觉得是A。I'm so confused.......

Conclusion: smith's university's fund raisers do not put in much efforts to expand the donor base.

Answer A: It eliminates the possibility that the general high successful rate for those who contacted is also due to higher successful rate for those potential donors who had never donated before.

If the successful rate (for those who had nv donated before) of smithtown uni is greater than other uni, it could also cause the general high successful rate of smithtown uni. And if this is the scenario, we cannot say that the fund raiser from smithtown uni has not put in the efforts. So answer A eliminates this possibility and implies that the higher successful rate is solely due to those who have contributed before.

Answer C: This answer is a very tricky answer. Take note that it is talking about those donors that fund raiser have not contacted, not those raisers who have contacted, and thus it won't affect the successful rate of the potential donors that the fund raisers have contacted.
