i submitted on Jan 17th, and it got review on Feb 5th. someone say if Columbia does not like you, they would reject you directly without giving you an interview. so if u dont receive such a mail, it means that you still have the opportunity.

I have seen people submitted before I did got dings.
I have seen people submitted after I did got interviews.

If the process is really on a rolling basis, I guess my ding is on the way.

Good luck to everyone~~

BTW, I submmited on Jan 7th.

I submitted on Jan. 6 and it got under review on Jan 27.  But based on the 12-week decision period, final decision would only be made around Apr 20.  If it's that late, do we still have time for background check, visa and everything?

Btw, is it hub interview for the Regular Decision applicants?

Mine's been "under review" forever ( since Jan 9th)! In this case, I'd say "no news is good news." There are many competitive applicants who got dinged complaining on BW forum.

I personally think the ED of CBS is making regular rounds a little more tough than what it is. Plus this year is a uber competitive year. I just feel a little relieved now that so many others are in the same boat.

According to Linda Meehan, Columbia’s Director of Admissions, "an individual application may be reviewed independently by two to three individual members of the admissions committee before the application is presented to the larger admissions committee for a final decision to be rendered.

At any given point during the reading process, the first reader, the second reader or the third reader may request for an interview invitation to be extended, but the application also may make its way to the final admissions committee before an interview invitation is extended."

The link below is a great resource for understanding Columbia's review process.
