关于申请时候用的Resume

俺在找工作的时候，简历上我的职位都是用的比较好听的Title。比如，公司的original titile是System Analyst，我简历上一般写Business System Analyst; 或者original titile是Program Analyst,简历上写成Software Engineer。差别不大，只是好听一点。不过这是在找工作，面试的时候。

不知道在申请MBA的时候，可不可以也适当的美化一下自己的Title? 或者包装一下日常的工作，这样好看一点？

因为我是申请Part time,我想admission committee估计会更看重简历。

不过我有以下的concern

1，老板给我写推荐信。我不能强求他们把我现在的职位换成好听一点的；万一他们用的本来的职位，我又用的美化后的职位。学校会不会觉得不属实，留下不好的印象？还有那些job description。我也担心有出入。

2，学校是否会做background check，这样他们就会知道我本来的title了。

3，我想大多数的申请人都会适当的美化自己的简历和日常工作。如果我不这样做，我的材料就会显得很一般

请大家给点意见啊！

When companies/schools conduct background checks, they should be able to find out your time of employment and corporate titles.

I seriously don't know how much "title" matters when you apply to PT MBA. It's not like you are applying to EMBA and want that 10-yr manager/director level status.

If you can score 700+, have a stable and solid job, have good accomplishments at work and strong recommendations then you should be able to get into a top PT program. I wouldn't worry about spending time inflating titles.

I think being honest on resume and essays is very important. It doesn't matter if you're a manager or just an analyst, people still can perform well on each position. Besides, leadership doesn't mean leader position.

I recommend you do not exaggerate your title on your resume.

谢谢两位大侠的诚恳建议。

之所以有这样的想法是受身边的一些朋友和老印的影响，他们在找工作，面试的时候使劲brag自己的工作经历，面试的时候口若悬河，其实真正的本事不怎么样。但是最后还是打败许多人被hire。

不过，我想申请学校在简历上估计和找工作不太一样。那我就如实写了！

Title不重要，关键是你做了什么工作承担什么责任

Schools use similar risk consulting companies used by corporations. I don't think you need or should inflate anything. We don't have to be like In Du A3.

Title是最容易被查出来的。如果调查的话肯定会问title，还有你的工作职责，工作时间，工资收入之类的
