Applicant Verification Process

Integrity is of one of our Core Values and, implicitly, an important
characteristic of our application process. To guard against potential
allegations that students may have provided inaccurate information about
themselves or their backgrounds in their applications, all application
credentials for deposited Full-time MBA candidates will be subject to an
independent verification process. The student is responsible for the $70 fee
associated with this process.

就是例行公事罢了，交钱后他们交给kroll这类的调查公司，一般会电话调查一些你的信息是否与提供的信息相符，比如推荐人，工作时间起始日期，工作title性质，薪水，或者也可能查学历背景相关的信息。

不一定都查，一般是按照学校的指定查几个信息，但具体查哪几个你也不知道。只要你没提供原则性的假信息，不用担心。

In my case, Kroll authorized by Emory reached me to provide basic information (job title/salary/bonus/period) in my last employer and a name in the HR dept.

Then they will contact the HR person to get her email and then verify the mentioned information via email. It's not sophisticated.Kroll will let you know once they complete the process.

This will be done after your admission, but you should have been fully aware of the issue during your application.
