请教削弱题

这是一道OG阅读题中的削弱，百思不得其解。请大家帮助。

Corporate response appears to have been sub-
stantial. According to figures collected in 1977,
(20) the total of corporate contracts with minority busi-
nesses rose from $77 million in 1972 to $1.1 billion
in 1977. The projected total of corporate contracts
with minority businesses for the early 1980's is
estimated to be over $3 billion per year with no

这题我选的是B，把数据否定，可答案是E，不明白啊？请问这咱题有什么好办法吗？

(B)错在原文的数据明显就是增加了，你偏说是少，这不是逻辑，是抬杠；

(E)说明看上去绝对数量增加了，可是相对数量还是不变

我原来想B的削弱是否定了论据，达到削弱的目的。但是，论据的是1972和19779年的相比，而B讲的是1970与1972年的比，所以应该是无关，对吗？如果B讲的是1972年比1979多，算不算削弱啊？

另外，E的意思为何削弱啊？还是没理解，能讲讲吗？

Sorry. B is irrelevant choice; 如果B讲的是1972年比1979多，weaken the argument.

1972年与少数民族企业的合同量/1972年总合同量＝1977年与少数民族企业的合同量/1977年总合同量；说明只是因为总量增加引起了与少数民族企业的合同量增加，不说明是reponse appears to have been substantial
