Campus visit question

Guys,

A quick question: What is the best time for campus visit for US school? I guess during summer time most students are out of campus, aren't they? How about Oct - Nov bebore it is getting too cold in the states? Million thx.

mid oct will be a good choice i think
thinking about campus visit too, but not sure if it's really helpful coz time is limited
