Do you mean you need your parents to pay for part of your tuition / living expenses? In general, studying abroad is much cheaper than buying an apartment. This doesn't sound like a legitimate trade-off...
3 questions: - Why do you wanna go abroad? - Where do you wanna go? - What do you want to study in another country?
If I know the answers of the 3 questions above, I'd ask myself the following: Do I need to buy an apartment within the next 5 years? Or do I need to go abroad within the next 5 years? In 5 years, you'll be 26. I'd naively think it's okay for a 26-year-old not to own any property. When you're 26, you'd probably want to buy a property soon (by 30, I guess) When you're 26, you may not want to go abroad anymore. So if you don't go soon, you probably won't consider this idea anymore
You know the identity of hai gui itself doesn't add value right? People are highly sought after because of the value they bring, and that's manifested through track records

You mean giving up the option to own a house now? Or the option to have overseas experience?
