大全-11-19,大全-11-20

补充材料 逻辑第110题
It is widely assumed that a museum is helped financially when a generous patron donateds a potential exhibit. In truth, however, donated objects require storage space, which is not free, and routine conservation, which is rather expensive . therefore, such gifts exacebate rather than lighten the demands made on a musemum's financial resources.

Which of the following ,if true, most seriously weakens the argument above?

A. To keep patrons well disposed ,a museum will find it advisable to put at least some donated objects on exhibit rather than merely in storage.
B. The people who are most likely to donate valuable objects to a museum are also the people who are most likely to make cash gift to it.
E.Objects donated by a patron to a museum are often of such importance that the museum would be obliged to add them to its collection through purchase if necessary.

答案:E. 但我个人认为E不但没有weaken,反而是是起到了加强了的作用。A,B反而有weaken的成分。

补充材料逻辑第111题
Despite the approach of winter, oil prices to industrial customers are exceptionally low this year and likely to remain so.Therefore, unless the winter is expecially severe, the price of natureal gas to industrial customers is also likely to remain low.
Which of the following ,if true, provides the most support for the conclusion above.

A.long-term weather forecasts predict a mild winter.
B.The industrial users who consume most natural gas can quickly and cheaply swithch to using oil instead.

答案:B.个人认为A也有加强的作用呀?

请各位同学赐教!谢谢!

Q110.

The argument's conclusion: "such gifts (donated potential exhibit) exacebate rather than lighten the demands made on a musemum's financial resources."

If E is true, i.e., the museum would have to spend money purchasing the item if it is not donated to the museum, obviously the donation saves the museum money -- money that would otherwise be spent on the purchasing of the item.  So, E weakens the argument and is the best answer.

Q111.

The conclusion of the passage is: "Therefore, unless the winter is expecially severe, the price of natural gas to industrial customers is also likely to remain low."

The author already hedged the whether condition by making "a mild weather" a necessary condition for his prediction that "price of natural gas to industrial customers is likely to remain low".  So, the forecast of the weather does not matter anymore.  So, A does not lend any further support to the author's conclusion.

个人意见:

文章是由oil价格低推导出gas也低,而非天气因素导致gas低.因此a选项不涉及文章的推论过程,是无关项.
