请教一个数学题

题目如下，请查看：

what is the average(arithmatic mean) of a column of six numbers on a spread sheet?

(1) if K is subtracted from each of the six numbers,the sum of the difference is 42

(2) if 2K is subtracted from each of the six numbers, the sum of the difference is 36.

我的答案是：statement 1 and statment 2 together r not suffcient.原因是只可以算出K的值，算不出6个总数的值。（我算出来的K是-1，但是答案K是1，并且它可以得出6个数的总和为48，答案必段为帖图形式才能放上来（复制不了），所以我没放上来，请数学大牛帮解。谢谢

这个题是PREP里的一个题。下午刚做。

我的做法如下，请看有什么问题：

设此六个数的总和为Z，各六个数分别为a,b,c,d,e.

依statement 1得出：(a-k)+(b-k)+(c-k)+(d-k)+(e-k)=z-42

依statement2 得出：（a-2k)+(b-2k)+(c-2k)+(d-2k)+(e-2k)=Z-36

(注，我这里可能把difference理解错了，我理解为减过K后总数之间的差了42和36）

经过以上两个式子，可以得来K=-1
