253，我的理解是，分词短语如果放在句末而且有逗号隔开通常是修饰句子的主干，或者作句子主干的伴随表示因果关系；但是这种情况不是绝对的。这道题目中，注意到slowing前面有个定语从句，其实slowing是做这个定语从句的伴随。具体的结构是：句子主干+非限制性定语从句（定语从句最后用了个伴随），这道题目一开始判断有点困难，但是我们可以排除别的选项着手。a中colder and wetter修饰对象不明，并且更要命的是which的先行词变成了region;c也有这个毛病；d中being本身就是错误的标志，而且分词修饰对象不清楚，结构混乱；e前面用了having been，已经错了，后面还用了slowed，更是大错特错。综上所述，或许b德slowing有纸代不清之嫌，但是在这五个选项中她的确是最优的选择。
23.又是一道很难解释的题目，试试看吧。我认为a的问题在于最后的to demonstrate。因为使用不定式我们需要考虑到不定式的形式主语的问题。这道题目的机构就是cannon had proved helpful to demonstrate,demonstrate的形式主语变成了cannon，这是不合逻辑的。而在e中，使用分词表示在某一个方面有帮助，就不存在形式主语的问题了。另外，如果分词做定语，铜等情况下避免使用复杂结构，使用定语从句结构更加清晰。prove地用法我查了一下，一般就是a prove sth, a prove that, a prove to , 在gmat中我们使用被动的时候，一定要考虑到这个动作的发出者，一般只有强调动作的被执行，同时出现动作的发出者，我们才会考虑被动的情况，否则被动式被视为冗长的形势。这道题目没有prove的动作发出者，使用被动式不合适的。当然五个选项也没有出现被动形势，mm也就不用多操心了
