As for your original question, yes, it is quite possible to get a good score by self-study.
It certainly helps to do lot of official LSAT questions released by LSAC. In addition, it maybe helpful to look into Logic Games Bible. It helped a lot of people significantly.
The key is to take sufficient time. 3-6 months minimum, assuming an average level of English proficiency.
