The speaker’s opinion that financial gain plays the most important rule in choosing job is reasonable to some extent. However, in my view, although we can not deny financial gain’s importance when we consider our jobs, other factors, such as interests, parents’ expectations and individual’s ability are also essential in certain circumstances, as illustrated by some reasons in the following paragraphs.

In the first place, the prospect of financial gain is intriguing. Supporters of the idea of work for money view this reason as the best way to achieve their goals. For example, my sister goes to study abroad for three years. When she came back, she wants to find a good job in ShangHai. What’s a good job? To my sister, a good job is that through which she can earn as much money as expected. She spends a huge amount of money on study. Now, it’s time to gain back. In many cases, college students study hard in school, they show their best when they attend an interview, all the motivations are financial gain.

In addition, financial gain cannot be ignored, while at the same time interests can not be overlooked. For example, if people find a job to help them gain more money but less happiness, because they do not like it, they even hate it. Will they continue to do the job? Comprehensively, my neighbor’s first job is a doctor, but in fact he is likely to be an artist. He gradually feel tired with his job, there is no time for him to draw, to enjoy or even to see beautiful things around, he is busy with his patients everyday. This state is not last long, one day; he told me that he can not bear even one second to be a doctor, so he quit his job. He traveled around to draw, to enjoy and to see his life.

Furthermore, sometimes we do our job just because we want to please our parents, they expect we do so. For instance, almost all of my families do businesses. My parents established a company. My sister is a manager in an international corporation. My parents expect me to do better than them in business; they want me to develop their business some day. Their expectation leads me to go to college to study marketing. Fortunately, I found I really like this major and have some genius in this area.

Finally, individual’s ability is prominent in choosing job, especially in the present day. There area lot of, sometimes hundreds and thousands of, employees to compete for one position nowadays, thereby, individual’s ability greatly influenced the final decision. The managers would like to employ the most outstanding people through a series of interviews. For example, many students in our school eager to work in P&G company last year, nevertheless, this famous company only accept five students after six-rounded interviews.

In the final analysis, although there is some circumstance in which gaining money is the most important goal in finding jobs, some other factors will be more reasonable in some cases, at least, the fact informs us that the latter are often part-and-parcel of choosing jobs. In conclusion, people should weigh different factors in different situations, and then they can get what is the most important. The speaker asserts financial gain is the most important is defective and groundless.
