I'm wondering if most chicago students drive or you guys just take buses and subways? is it convenient to take public transportation to go into the city if i will have summer intern there? thanks. Hi Sarahtan15! Congrats on your admit! I am a fellow admit as well but I think I might be able to help answer this question based on what I have learned. So please correct me if I am wrong... If you live in Hyde Park, you probably don't need a car because there are both city buses and UChicago buses in the area. You can also call a free van service if you stay late in Harper center, I think. If you live in downtown, you can take Metra to get to Hyde Park, then walk for 10-15 minutes to school. However, if you choose to live in Lincoln park and lake view areas, then you might need a car because those areas are further north in Chicago. |
