[求助]一道什么也想不明白的数学题

If the sum of the first n postitive integers is S, what is the sum of the first n positive odd integers, in terms of S?

1+2+3...+n=S

1+3+5+...+2n-1=2S-n. 为什么要减掉 n 呢?

1+2..+n=n+[n*(n-1)]/2=S
1+3+...(2n-1)=n+[n*(n-1)]=2{n+[n*(n-1)/2]}-n=2S-n
