There is only one definition of success — to be able
to spend your life in your own way.”

To what extent do you agree or disagree
with this definition of success? Support your position by using reasons and
examples from your reading, your own experience, or your observation of others.

How do you define success? To some extent,
I agree with the author assertion that success is

to be able to spend your life in your own
way. However , the author unnecessarily extends this

broad assertion to an irreversible extreme
while overlooks other compelling factors that may

affect this issue. On balance, my points of
agreement and contention with the author involve

the fundamental and deep analysis as
discussed below.

   On
the one hand, I would like to admit that this statement, although suffers from
some

obvious drawbacks, has some merits
radically in some special cases in which the implicit

rationale behind it accords with common
sense and our experience in daily life. Hence,

it is partially indisputable.

For most of us, to be able to spend your life in your own way is a
long-time goal. Since

we all have this dream in our childhood
that we can live like  a king and  can do whatever

we want and spend our life in our own way. Mccandless,
an American wanderer who died

near Denali
                National Park

after hiking alone into the Alaskan wilderness with little food or

equipment. And found his note with "I
have had a happy life, thank god and may god bless you all"

Even he died in the jungle, but he still
thought he had a happy life and he was success, not only

became a heroic figure for thounds of yuong
people ,inspiring them go to the wild to feel the forces

of nature but also became success because
he spent his life in his own way!

   Furthermore,
to spend life in your own way is an crucial element of success. Almost

all of the person who spend their life in
their own way ,such as dedicating themselves into

helping people, into creating novel
articles, into design new machines will be called succeed.

All these evidence demonstrate beyond any
doubt that to be able to spend your life in your

own way is the definition of success.

   On
the other hand, I have to point out the author fails to mention other crucial
elements in

the definition of success. In short ,this
definition is in short in two aspects. First, the author

overlooked the importance of spend ones
life in his own way ,and arbitrary eliminate other definitions.

Second, it's quite difficult to spend life
in your own way ,sometimes it's only those elite or wealthy

people can do that.

   In
conclusion agree with the author the definition of success is to be able to
spend your

life in your own way. However, the definition
can be various not only one definition as author mentioned.

According to me to be able to spend your
life in your own way is only one definition of success.

Mccandless, an American wanderer who died  near Denali
National Park after hiking alone into the Alaskan wilderness with little food or
equipment. 从who died 开始,是一个修饰an American wanderer的定语从句,而an American wanderer 是Mccandless的同位语。 And found his note with "I have had a happy life, thank god and may god bless you al这句话没有主语,即使和上句联起来,把And大写改为小写,仍然有句子结构问题。 Even he died in the jungle, but he still thought he had......有了even何必用but?
