Background information:This year,each film submitted to the Barbizon Film Festival was submitted in one of ten categories.For each category,there was a panel that decided which submitted films to accept.

Fact1:Within each category,the rate of acceptance for domestic films was the same as taht for foreign films.

Fact2:The overall rate of acceptance of domestic films was significantly higher than that of foreign films.

In light of the background information,which of the following,if true,can account for fact1 and fact2 both being true of the submissions to this year'a Barbizon Film Festival?

答案是Most foreign films,unlike most domestic films,were submitted in categories with high prestige,but with correspodingly low rates of acceptance.

看上去觉得这个选项是正确答案，但是仔细想又怎么也想不通，不是说within each category的rate都一样吗，怎么又说low rate呢？如果说是foreign 说在category的个数特别多，那本组的rate和别的组比起来的话算是低的了．．．

不知道我理解的对不对，假如每个Category都含有相同数目的Domestic Films和 Foreign films， 则每个任选一个的几率就一样了。
但是，Foreign的把好的（假如前几名的）去竞争很少的Categories，极端情况下ONly one category， 就如中国田忌赛马样的结果， 总体的Foreign rate of acceptance就会低了

又一次遇到了这题..

我和我周围学GMAT的同学都没明白..

哪位牛人给个解释吧..这题实在是想破脑袋也想不出来了`~
