Recent estimats predict that between 1982 and 1995 the greatest increase in the number of people employed will be in the category of low-paying service occupations. This category , however, will not increase its share of total employment, whereas the category of high-paying service occupations will increase its share.

If the estimates above are accurate, which of the following conclusions can be drawn?

答案选以下这个：

In 1982 more people were working in low-paying service occupations than were working in high-paying service occupations.

完全没有头绪。。。还有就是题目中的share到底指的是人数还是人数乘以工资？？？？

You can work this out by doing a simple calculation.
Assumptions:
1982: Low Paying=60 High Paying=40 Total=100
1995: Low Paying=66 High Paying=45 Total=111

1982: Low Paying/Total=60% High Paying/Total=40%
1995: Low Paying/Total=59% High Paying/Total=41%

Although Low Paying jobs increased more than High paying jobs, the percentage of the Total employed actually decreased which means its share of the market decreased whereas the share of the high paying jobs increased from 40% in 1982 to 41% in 1995.

share ，份额，“share of total employment”，指这部分的人数除以总人数。

可以用比例关系解决，比例和总数有很大区别
