是不是能这样理解,如果一道题说某直线y截距为5,意思就是x=0的时候,y就是5,不包含y=-5这个含义咯?

好像截距不能为负，就像两点之间的距离只能是正数一样。

在y轴上截距为5的点可以是(0,5)和(0,-5)

Microsoft Student 2006 查到的信息如下：

intercept

2.	mathematics distance from origin to axis crossing: the distance from the origin of a coordinate system to the point where a curve or surface crosses an axis

不知道为什么网上查到的教案还特别强调截距不是距离？

OG上说，intercept是坐标，那就是可以为负。

The y-intercept is the y-coordinate of the point at which the graph intersects the y-axis(OG Math Review)
