Unlike students ten years ago, more and more people in recent years choose to attend schools or universities outside their home countries. In my opinion, there are many reasons contributing to their making the decision to study abroad.

Going abroad to attend schools enables students to know more friends and by sharing ideas with each other, the students can learn another way of thinking and broaden their outlooks. The ways of thinking of different people varies with their experience and cultures. Accordingly, in another country this difference in looking at things between people will be even larger. Just because of the difference, the students can learn some new knowledge and ideas from their classmates during the discussion in class or they can find a new solution to the same question in cooperation with their partners. In domestic schools or universities, however, these new ideas can hardly be achieved so effectively due to the similar ways of thinking. To go further and say, it is why people always say that only when the communications between countries are strengthened can our world make constant progress.

Furthermore, the students can improve their foreign language proficiency during the experience of studying overseas. Admittedly, many people can learn another language anywhere even in our home country. However, no other means can be more efficient than communicating with your classmates and professor of another country every day. Communicating with classmates, writing essays, or even when you are shopping, you cannot escape from the foreign language. The pressure from the all of these activity force the students to learn the language to their best.

In additional, to get a satisfying job in the future, going to the schools or universities abroad is a superb choice. Faced with various difficulties and setbacks when they just enter a new environment, the students have to adopt themselves with the unfamiliar world around them. With the trend of globalization, the companies, especially some big corporations, lay more stress on the ability of contacting with foreigners and adaptability to multination culture. The students with the experience of studying in another country, undoubtedly, will attract more attention of the employers.

From what has been discussed above, it is easy to find studying abroad not only bring us new ideas that we cannot get in domestic but also improve our foreign language skills and help us to find a good job in the future. No wonder so many people choose to go abroad to attend universities. It can be seen as a clever choice.
