You must be kiding me. Because of the huge culture difference and language barrier, most Chinese men ( 99%) chase girls within their own enthinical group.

Besides the above mentioned barriers, most Chinese men do not have strong and sexy body that American girls wanted most.  That's why even poor black dude could fool around with hot white chicks whereas rich and well educated Chinese PHDs are ended up with coming back to China to Xiang QIn.

Two year ago, I met a Chinese lady on the airplane, who has been in the US for 15 years, and I asked her about the prospect to find a girlfriend in the US. I was shocked when she told me most of Chinese men she knew (those are IT people ) get married at their 30s ( around 35? ).

I thought the situation was largely exaggerated when I first heard this. However, after I lived here for a while, I was amazed to find that this is bloody real!

For example, my roomates' boss is a tenured professor, he was alone untill his late 30s even if he is a handsome man with a decent job and a US green card. It is said that his firends made a great effort to help him to get a date, becuase this university town does not have enough available candidate pool.

Another story is about a young assistant professor at our school. He got his PHD in Brown university and got his green card within one year under EB-1 application.

Like all the other good kids, he studied very all the way through the PHD program and never wasted his time on chasing girls. Therefore, when it comes to find the right one, this rookie lost his way. This handsome and successful youugman finally came back to China to Xiang Qin.

A third story is about a Chinese professor at our eco department. After he got his PHD degree from a top US institution, he joined the risk managment department of American Express. Although the pay is really good, he had to spent 13 hours a day on the work. Obviously, he could not spare some time for his personal life. Finally, he quitted this high pay job and came to our school to teach, just because he want a work and life balance.

So, if you don't have much experience to chasing the girls like those professors and you happen to work in this kind small town, or you work in a heavy duty industy, let's say investment banking, you will probably have to endure being alone for a long time.

Based on the experiences from my Chinese friends and co-workers, going back to China to get married via xiang qin is not bad at all. Young, pretty, and nice MMs.

Some of my friends/co-workers are close to 40 and divorced. They went back to China and got married again through xiang qin. Their new wives are usually 10+ years younger than them and so far haven't heard any problems.

This is really good suggestion. I am greatly amused by the interesting stuff in this thread.

So, when we are still in China, we should often go to gym, right? With a hot body, maybe we'll stand a chance to chase some white chicks.

just kidding^_^.
