有两个比较：第一个是在for之后，第二个是在since之后引出；并且注意它们所限定的范围

            第一句说明这个new record 是这个New Hampshire Division 自己的最高（that division指的就是the New Hampshire Division）， 即：自己跟自己比。

            第二句却用New Hampshire Division 与X公司的其他Division比，即：自己和别人比。而record surprising出奇的高是自己与自己比的，当然不能用自己与别人比较的结果来解释。二者无可比性，所以不能解释。想想看：我一直自己和自己比，提高了，挺好的，凭什么拿我和别人比，这不是牵强么！我比我的，与他人无关啊。（B）说明了这一点，一看就是正确选项。（D）完全说的另一回事儿，这跟题目有什么因果关系我想了半天没想出来~一看就是胡扯呢~~~
