I know it sounds stupid. but the fact is: my wife and I worked together to build our small company, I think she is a suitable person for refenrence.

is there anybody who has experience of asking relatives for recommendations?

I would present her as a business partner instead of your immediate family so she would come off more credible.

i think he meant that his wife isn't sure whether she can be a suitable recommender. It would be odd if your own wife doesn't want write you a good recommendation letter.

i don't think she could be an appropriate reference, although you consider her as a business partner. I recommend you to choose other people as your reference.

You wife is not qualified as a recommendor. If the school knows about this, it might be an ethica issue.
