The "submitted" status won't change at all after your submission, even on decision day.

Like most other Top programs, MIT has its own schedule to release interview invitations, which might be related to its trip arrangement of hub-interview in China. So just stay tuned and be prepared.

According to BW, current invitations are within US. No international ones.
