这个我看不出联系啊。。

The 3rd one has been explained before.

For the second one, you can try negation method since it asks a necessary assumption.

第一题楼主给的答案有误吧，应该是(D) research scientists believe that those who are well known as popularizers of science are not motivated to do important new research

第二题，严格来说，跟数字没有关系，楼主不要因为看到数学就觉得恐惧，实际上GMAT中有数字的题不多，小学以上数学的地方没有。你把三个数字换成Low level ，high level之类的词完全不影响此题。实际上题目只是说米国的科研经费的增长率一直在下降，一直延续着1980年以来的下降趋势，所以说1981的税收刺激没有效果。没有任何跟数字有关的东西。题目求假设，假设就是：如果没有税收刺激，科研经费的增长率不会下降得更多。纯粹的assumption取非题。
