Hi, glad to be the first one to express my ideas. In my opinion, though you are not in the best age for top business school, are still not too late. I came to business school after 9 years experience in leading multinational companies in China. I left China for study only because I want to experience 'the difference' of social, econocial and cultural things. I did't care too much what I will do after graduation, but I do care at the moment. The most important is what you want to achieve in your life, if life here doesn't include your personal life (e.g. marriage, baby etc). I understand your job is quite decent now, so you should apply for top business school only if your GMAT is acceptable (700+). But of course, you need to consider: 1. What do you want to achieve in your career? If 'being stable' is the most important, then you should give up since there will a lot more opportunities later that you even never think of before. You must be happy to see such uncertainty and be ready to take such challenges. At the same time, 'being stable' means less risky, and also, less return. 2. Can you utilize your experience? I am not sure what you are doing. But say, if you are interested in corporate finance in industrial companies, then your experience must help you to get a good job later. I know at this stage, probably you don't know too much about futher MBA jobs, e.g. IB, hedge fund, private equity, consulting, finance, marketing, operation etc 3. Your personality: you need to be open, enjoy interpersonal communication, good language skills, so that you can enjoy your business school life and also find a good job in the future.
